6/19 - EXCLUSIVE - I spoke to a delightful Producer today from a very MAJOR television network about Renaldo being featured on a emmy award winning show!! This is all I will tell for now but it's going to be way bigger and better than anything yet!

6/13 - Renaldo Update --> We just got back from Chicago (my favorite city on earth) where "Philippine multi-media conglomerate" GMA Channel 7, the largest television network in the entire country of the Philippines flew out a crew to interview Renaldo. They shot about 9 hours of footage with Renaldo over two days. about 6 hours at the hotel the first night and then around 3 hours of him walking around the beautiful Millennium Park (where about 1,000 fans spotted Renaldo and he sang for them all and every fan (as always) who wanted to meet Renaldo and get their picture taken with him got to). I have some great video of course that I will put up in the next 24 hours. This is for a big "USA Special" GMA will be airing on 6/20. They are featuring the two biggest stars right now in all of the Philippines who have made it in America! One is Renaldo of course, and the other is boxing great Manny Pacquiao (#1 boxer pound for pound in the world)! This will be a Barbara Walters type special. They also interviewed me with Renaldo the last day and wanted to get shots of Renaldo "with his manager". So after June 20th I will start wearing the t-shirt I'm having made up that says "I'm HUGE in the Philippines". :)
6/2 - EXCLUSIVE video footage of Renaldo singing the US National Anthem -Star Spangled Banner- at a brand new Pro Baseball stadium in Texas! This is the GREATEST, most passionate version ever! I would expect you will be seeing him sing the National Anthem across America this summer (there's already a few booked around the 4th of July weekend, however, both are secrets because they will be big surprises)! 5/30 - SportsIllustrated.com (SI) posted the video of Renaldo's performance on the GRAND FINALE of American Idol on their website! They included this caption; "You're gonna hate us putting this song in your head for the rest of the day" -- Umm...to be fair, this song gets stuck in your head for way longer than a day...and people will love you for posting it. :)
5/30 - "The Resurrection of Renaldo Lapuz" - This story also made it to "Most Read" status! (the story has risen again!) :) 5/25 - New Updates added to Renaldo's Wikipedia entry. The following statement I could not agree with more, is under the title "Music Theory and Form" - "Lapuz's vocal stylings incorporate strategic deviations from standard tuning and metric systems, often giving the impression that he is "off key" or "out of time." His composition style is informed by the theme of universality and equality of mankind, found increasingly in music of the 19th century and onwards. More notable examples include Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" in his Ninth Symphony, or Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man."
5/24 - SIMON HUGS RENALDO (AGAIN) AFTER HIS PERFORMANCE AT THE AMERICAN IDOL FIANLE! I was there and I knew Simon came up and hugged Renaldo AGAIN after his performance...but what nobody else knows is that during this hug Simon told Renaldo he was "BRILLIANT"!!!! Well we think Simon is BRILLIANT also! Look at the BIG smile on Simon's face. I always had a feeling that Simon was a big sweetie in real life. :) -- I admire Simon so much that I have added his name to the center of all of my baseball caps! :)

5/24 - New article in The New York Times with a link to RenaldoLapuz.com!! :) -- The best part of the article is the following. "The decision to include in the finale Renaldo Lapuz, the white-robed and tuneless originator of the song “We’re Brothers Forever,” was a stroke of genius, one that will certainly inspire more jaw-dropping “talent” to prepare their acts for next season’s auditions. (In the meantime, Mr. Lapuz can be booked for parties via his Web site, RenaldoLapuz.com)." --> Thanks for the link NY Times! But I do demand you retract your "tuneless" remark, then I will subscribe to your paper again.
5/22 - Renaldo Lapuz performs on the GRAND FINALE OF AMERICAN IDOL!!! I wish I could have told you earlier, but it was such a HUGE surprise I really don't think even Simon knew. American Idol flew Renaldo out there on Monday morning and they instructed him to not leave his hotel room until the day of the finale. He was also the BIGGEST star at the official American Idol Finale Party! He was in the way back and was at a station set up by AT&T where fans could take photos with Renaldo and they printed them up on the spot. Over 4,000 fans of all ages stopped by to hug/kiss Renaldo and to get their photo taken with him...and they all got to try on his infamous white hat he made. I'm with Renaldo now at a coffee shop so I could get Internet access since our $500 a night hotel apparently does not get wi/fi on the very top floor. Much more to be reported on this soon...but as you can expect things are very crazy busy today...so keep coming back for more Renaldo news!

5/22 - Some Photos of Renaldo from the after party (no camera's or cell phones allowed in during live taping). Look at all the ladies waiting to meet him! Is that three blondes around his arm? :) --->over 4,000 fans stooped by to meet him in just a 3 hour span! Everyone like always is SOOOOO happy when they meet him...it's so great that I have been able to see in person him make literally over 10,000 people smile and laugh! All this in just a few months! Renaldo really really loves his fans! You make him cry in happiness when he reads your emails and youtube posts. Thank you everyone!

5/19 - Google RENALDO and RenaldoLapuz.com now comes up #1 out of over 1,450,000 results (up from #2 last week) :) -- The site remains #1 (and will always) if you Google/Yahoo/MSN "Renald0 Lapuz" -- but to come up first on Google in a single word search RENALDO after just a few months may be a new Guinness Book (Internet Edition) record. Also #1 on Google and Yahoo if you search only "Lapuz". Don't you think it would be pretty cool if you could Google your first name and come up #1? :)

on Renaldo Lapuz entry - Follow up to my 3/30 breaking news posting regarding Renaldo back in Wikipedia with two official entry's this time - Renaldo Lapuz & Reynaldo Lapuz - Wiki now has the entry officially filed under "Renaldo Lapuz" but if you type "Reynaldo Lapuz" it will redirect you to the wiki entry. I'm glad to see it being cleaned up, it will be fun to watch this article expand in the very near future.

5/12 -Another AT&T Commercial has been released this one is of Renaldo Lapuz singing the United States National Anthem, Star-Spangled Banner ---> (back-stage scoop: They asked Renaldo towards the end of his filming of this commercial at a studio in NYC if he knew any more songs...I mentioned to the Director and producers (shoutout to Atmosphere BBDO!) :), that one of the very first songs Renaldo's father taught him back in the Philippines when he was a little boy was the Star Spangled Banner....this is the best version ever! 3/30 OMG!!! ;) WE ALL ARE MAKING HISTORY!!! TODAY Renaldo Lapuz, my website RenaloLapuz.com...as well as all your remixes and you viewers from all over the world have made it into Wikipedia -- (click on Official Website above to see the original Renaldo Lapuz Wiki entry that was up within 24 hours after he audition...and was removed about 8 hours later) - There are a few errors in the new wiki entry, mostly not giving him nearly enough credit for his Youtube audition views. For example they say 6,000 in the first sentence in the "Youtube" section when in fact he had around 2,500,000 TOTAL views in the first few days! (so I guess we can't completely raise our children on Wikipedia, yet) :) -- Any how....Fremantle Media had requested (it stated that on the youtube link) to have the two clips with the highest views removed. One had over 1 million views and the second most of the posted audition clips on youtube was in the 950,000's last I checked (before it was also removed at the request of FM). I still have no idea why only those two were taken down (feel free to email me your conspiracy theories) :) but shortly after his audition was available for download on iTunes for FREE about 2 weeks later. It looks like it's in HD on my iPhone if you have one you must download it from itunes! If you are a Wikipedia contributors please feel free to research this and have it corrected. As wikipedia being my second favorite site in on the World Wide Web (did you know the WWW is the largest part of the Internet?), this is a HUGE honor also I have an incoming link to my website on Wikipedia! :) -- Check out the Wiki entry under the spelling Reynaldo Lapuz - this one is much more accurate.
>>3/29 - Renaldo Lapuz has been invited to hang out at the awesome Splash Kingdom Family Waterpark on June 28th! When I told Renaldo that he was personally invited by the President of the TLA to perform for 1000's of librarians in his state of Texas...he said "WOW WOWWWW"! He also told me that even a booking for $1,000,000 could not compare to this!

Note to Everyone: At age 44 Renaldo Lapuz was well over the max age of 28 to be on American Idol, but he explained how he had traveled from Reno to Texas to audition (a one-way ticket he purchased with his last dollar), and they were so nice to let him still audition. Even though there was no way he could move on to Hollywood since he was 16 years over the maximum age limit of 28 set by American Idol. This is the ONLY reason he did not move on to Hollywood. Simon said it best "this is going to be a hit record"! I wanted to clear that up since I see a lot of people wondering why he did not move on.

>> 2/23 - Renaldo Lapuz pronounces us Husband and Wife last night on the beach at sunset right outside the Ponce Hilton Hotel & Casino! Then he sang us a beautiful original song he wrote many years ago about love, and then of course We're Brother Forever as we walked off the beach. Many spectators from the Hotel we're flocking to the beach to catch a glimpse.
